FEMA Disaster Recovery Center Opens in Princeton to Assist Flood Survivors

​​​The first DRC to assist survivors of the February 15 flooding opens in Mercer County on March 4 at 12PM.

CHARLESTON, W.V.A.—West Virginia Emergency Management Division's FEMA partners plan to open a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) tomorrow, March 4, 2025, at 12 p.m. in Princeton, Mercer County to help citizens impacted by recent flooding. The center provides individualized help to homeowners, renters, and business owners whose property sustained damage in the February 15 flooding event.

Survivors can visit the DRC to:

  • Apply for FEMA assistance
  • Check the status of an existing application
  • Get help with appeal letters and documentation
  • Access other state and federal recovery resources

    • Tuesday, March 4: 12 noon – 5 p.m.

​Hours Beginning Wednesday, March 5:

    • Monday to Friday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
    • Saturday: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
    • Closed Sundays
  • Closed March 15, March 22, April 19 for previously scheduled events at this location

No appointment is necessary, and walk-ins are welcome. Residents can also apply for assistance at DisasterAssistance.gov, by calling 1-800-621-3362, or using the FEMA mobile app.
