Two Additional Disaster Recovery Centers open Monday March 10

Disaster Recovery Centers opening on March 10 in Mingo and Wyoming Counties.

CHARLESTON, W.V.A.—To help West Virginians affected by recent flooding, the West Virginia Emergency Management Division's (WVEMD) FEMA partners plan to open two Disaster Recovery Centers (DRC) at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 10, in Mingo and Wyoming Counties. The centers provide individualized help to homeowners, renters, and business owners whose property sustained damage in the February 15 flooding event.

Survivors can visit the DRC to:

  • Apply for FEMA assistance
  • Check the status of an existing application
  • Get help with appeal letters and documentation
  • Access other state and federal recovery resources

No appointment is necessary, and walk-ins are welcome. Residents can also apply for assistance at DisasterAssistance.gov, by calling 1-800-621-3362, or using the FEMA mobile app.
