​The West Virginia Emergency Management Division (WVEMD) is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team and play a vital role in disaster preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery across the state. By coordinating with government agencies at all levels, WVEMD ensures a unified approach to protecting the people of West Virginia during emergencies.

Our division is comprised of specialized branches that work seamlessly to fulfill WVEMD’s mission. This includes the 24/7 Watch Center, which monitors and assesses situations around the clock, and the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC), which is activated at the Governor’s direction to coordinate statewide emergency response efforts.

During State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) activations, WVEMD works closely with local emergency management agencies, providing critical resources and support to ensure timely assistance reaches those in need.
