Power Outages
Appalachian Power

Call 800-956-4237 to report outages or safety hazards.
Customers can get specific information about the outages affecting their accounts via text message and/or email by subscribing to Appalachian Power outage alerts. To sign up, please visit Notifications (appalachianpower.com).
A snapshot view of current outages is available anytime at www.appalachianpower.com. Go to the Outages and Problems section of the homepage and click “View Outage Map.”

During severe weather, customers who are without power are encouraged to call 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877) to report their outage or click the "Report Outage" link on www.firstenergycorp.com.
For updated information on the company's current outages, FirstEnergy's storm restoration process and tips for staying safe, visit the 24/7 Power Center at www.firstenergycorp.com/outages.
Customers are also encouraged to assume all downed power lines are LIVE and stay far away from downed or low-hanging power lines.
Always assume downed lines are energized and dangerous and report them ASAP by calling 911.
